Apple Music is usually good about each artist's Essential Albums but I just saw that The Song Remains The Same doesn't make the cut for Zeppelin and I am irrationally angry.

I MAY WRITE A LETTER

Edit: I meant Houses of the Holy but was having a senior moment

@drewphish Maybe because it is a movie soundtrack? That could be a reason.
@AG3rD That's a good point. Maybe that's it? Still irrationally mad haha

@drewphish @AG3rD How many make the essential list?

It’s hard to put it above I, II, III, IV, Houses, Physical, and probably ITTOD. Also, How the West Was Won and the BBC Sessions.

@chopaganda @drewphish @AG3rD agreed. No telling how many times I watched the movie but it and coda were the only two albums that I never owned on cassette or cd.
@chopaganda @AG3rD There is no minimum and no maximum number per artist. Some have zero and some have a lot. The Rain Song and No Quarter are both masterpieces. The Ocean is a Top 10 LZ guitar riff. The title track rips. It *way* clears the bar for essential listening IMO.

@chopaganda @AG3rD I think I relapsed. I've been talking about Houses of the Holy the entire time WTAF.

AND IT'S NOT ON THE LIST EITHER

@chopaganda @AG3rD I was low-key distracted by the kiddo when I first posted and my first reply. And then I was just listing the tunes and was suddenly like WRONG ALBUM YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER 🤣
@drewphish @AG3rD No Houses is like 100x more fucked up. Write the letter.
@chopaganda @drewphish @AG3rD A top shelf record and a vicious oversight.
@rowjimmy @chopaganda @drewphish I concur. Houses is definitely Super Zeppelin. First three songs often appear in people’s desert island Zeppelin song lists.
@chopaganda @drewphish @AG3rD while this is true, I now have an irrational desire to watch The Song Remains The Same and will do so forthwith
