@UncleDuke1969 @xahteiwi my secret trick for toddler questions (obviously not a panacea, every kid is different, etc):

The way to get them to stop asking “why” is to give the same answer multiple times.

They want to get to the “final” answer. We hear that as “give me more detail”, but they interpret that extra detail as “my last answer was not right”. They can’t see how they’re connected.

Repeating your answers helps them be comfortable that this is the final one.
