Random thought of the day.

I've reworked my diet to lose bodyfat and so far the results are great.

But it got me thinking how annoying human physiology is.

You can gain fat by eating lots of food and you can lose fat by eating less food.

But you can't gain muscle by just eating more protein.

I'd go for a gene edit if it allowed muscle growth without needing to go in the gym.

I'm my interested in low body fat, but slightly bigger muscles would be nice.

@FrostyPops some people put on lean mass relatively easily but they may struggle with body fat loss.
Genetics definitely plays a role in this!

@s1m0n4 you're absolutely right.

Although a large part of it is also mental. I can make a 35g bar of Lindt 85% dark chocolate last for 8 days by only allowing myself to eat one square per day.

I can (and do) eat exactly the same food every day carefully weighed and calculated to give me just the protein and macros I need.

I don't eat for enjoyment, I only eat to be alive.

Eating for enjoyment made me reach 86 kg, I never want to be that weight again.

@FrostyPops these goals are familiar to me. What are you using to display your metrics?
@honey_bee155 I use an Amazfit GTR smartwatch, and on my phone I use a 3rd part app called Notify for Amazfit, for body composition tracking I use the Xiaomi mi fit 2 scale.
The screenshot is from Notify for Amazfit.
Hope that helps.
