I know this is a joke... but it's not.
Playing violent video games causes an increase in aggression, but that's not the same as an increase in violence.
Do you know what also causes an increase in aggression? Playing video games with lag. They actually tested this and used a puzzle platforming game that would occasionally insert lag into inputs and it cause an increase in aggression, just like violent video games.
