Often when we discuss Solarpunk, particularly as an aesthetic, we tend to focus on lush, green forests and fields. As somebody who grew up in either swampland or desert/Chaparral regions, I tend to view the former vision as a bit...narrow. To me, the powerful vision of Solarpunk is one in which we are united with the diverse Eco-systems of our planet, which can include regions not traditionally thought of or considered.

You're right.
I don't know enough about those ecosystems to confidently draw solarpunk visions of them. (It's hard enough for my own ecosystem. 🥲) I would love to see more art of that kind. Also for really cold regions!

I think the African Great Green Wall project sounds pretty #solarpunk-y.

@mullana

I've heard of the African Great Green Wall before! Seems ambitious, in a good way!

Desert and Chaparral bio-regions are quite interesting if you ever have the chance to visit some!
