Tomi T Ahonen@CulpepperRing I expect usual from Trump pocket judge Cannon: Come On Aileen. She is trying to push all matters to delay, as she knows Trump will lose this case. It is all she can do. I am sure Jack Smith has several times already calculated, is this my moment to take her for her final spanking (and removal) at the Appellate Court and so far, Jack Smith awaits. When he strikes it is on something that is clear slam dunk also in any appeals to SCOTUS..

@CulpepperRing Florida is a rocket docket circuit. This case should have been decided already. Trump's pocket Judge Cannon: Come On Aileen had a court date VERY late for 20 May, she recently vacated that and the current negotiations are for late July early August start date but even that may well slip. If the judge is replaced, this becomes rapid case to conviction. The case is incredibly air-tight, even more than Manhattan trial was

@CulpepperRing And Ben, this is only the 'hiding from FBI' part of the espionage case. It gets Trump about 400 years in prison. The BIG espionage case is the one with Mark Meadows, the Bobblehead and others, when they STOLE the 212 docs, and for that Trump gets over 2,800 years on top. Jack Smith is doing these in the sequence of 'fastest convictions first', rather than 'most serious crimes first'
@tomiahonen where do we stand with the main case with Jan 6?
@CulpepperRing Judge Chutkan had a court date before this Manhattan trial. It is now paused because of the SCOTUS ruling. Until we hear SCOTUS declare that no, US Presidents do not get criminal immunity to assassinate Americans, that Jan 6th trial (Jack Smith) is on hold. We have to wait. Hope decision comes in June
