I finally tackled a project I’ve been planning for a few years. Our basement monorail  is finished (for now). I was hoping for a retro Tomorrowland feel. I designed & 3D printed the wall & ceiling mounts, as well as a few short track sections. I bought the 24” straight tracks on eBay.

Trains are from 3 different sets collected over the years - 2 older models and the new 50th Anniversary with IR remote.

Spaceship Earth  wall inspired by a tutorial on the MakingMainstreet blog.

@aerosavvy That is so very cool! Nice work!
@reallyjim Thanks! Lots of fun to build.
@aerosavvy This is sooooo cool! Really love it.
@WiredForFlight Thank you! So far, it’s been a hit with family.
@aerosavvy Ken that is the coolest thing I will see today. Now I can say “hell yeah I know someone with a Monorail system in their house, and he’s not named Elon."
@Av8rdan Ha! Thanks. It was really fun to set up.
@aerosavvy
So awesome. Are you going to upload those mounts somewhere so others can print them? You could probably sell the stl somewhere.

@PhilGastwirth Thanks! I uploaded all the components to Thingiverse a couple weeks ago. I’m surprised at how many downloads.
