You might be interested learning that #squigs are creatures bio engineered to live in the #Tyranid hive and only exist in the #Warhammer40k universe 😜

This is why I don't care for lore of any fandom and #Warhammer in particular - is a story and can be changed whenever OG wishes, or wants to sell more puppets.

(barring Ursula K Leguin's #Earthsea as that got better as she went along)

@miquel I learnt something yesterday! 😜😜😜 My only OG 40k loreπŸ‘†πŸΌ

@erikcats "Well actually..."

The Old World maybe a 40K planet caught in a warp storm or on the outer fringes of the Eye Of Terror. Which is why an Ambull from a crashed ship appears in a WFRP adventure in White Dwarf called Terror in the Darkness.

@sashabilton πŸ˜‚ oh my fucking lord hilarious

@erikcats But why is this offputting to you? I find it rather endearing how a lot of my favourite guys have developed more personality and a lot of background during the expansion and changing of their lore (the Heresy-novels first and foremost! They did the lore sooo good!). I love how fluid it is and how much it allows to insert your own ideas and fantasies. The perfect sandbox-playground.

I look at the old stuff and am delighted. Like, damn, my purple boys have grown up!

@erikcats I didn't know this! Orks and Squigs recognising each other and Orks rescuing as many as they can is the most wholesome story of that universe. Also, in my head The Old World is Wh40k far future.
