patcanfield@raph I sympathize with the protesters-I realize the angst and frustration. But the Reality of what they hope to accomplish is nil. Still, they(protesters) can walk away and say, 'I Did something'. Even though it wasn't-but it made you feel that way and now maybe you're three hairs less frustrated? BUT, perhas you can ALL say you stopped Arms shipments to Israel. AS if Joe Biden has no mind.

@patcanfield @raph That's a pretty cynical take. Yes, these protests aren't going to single-handedly stop the IDF and liberate the people in Gaza.
But the protests, combined with the police brutality against students, do seem likely to have significant and long-term effects on the relationships between students and their university.

@dec23k @patcanfield @raph I think people are unfamiliar with just how long student activists have been asking for transparency and divestment and how desperately unis have resisted.
@tob and the relationship between the students and their university is hardly the student's point/aim.
