If #Sonos would add #HomeAssistant as a possibe Voice Assistant, I would kick out all #HomePod​s immediately and replace them with Sonos Speakers. 😅

They're so much better now than in the era of the S1 to S2 migration.

@wtremmel @kaiserkiwi Sonos speakers also fussy Wi-Fi behaviours too, so work really badly in most business or managed environments. My Sonos stuff at home is about 14 years old and needs replacing. I just need time and energy to find something more open and better behaved on the network.

@kaiserkiwi @wtremmel Point taken but I’ll take something that works better with open standards so that I can do what I want with my network at home, or take the music player to work.

@andyd @wtremmel What do you have in mind? Only thing I can think of is building yourself and using Home Assistant.

@wtremmel That's okay for me as I don't have or need an IPv6 only network.
