As with so many things in Britain, the green transition in housing is hampered by infrastructure under-investment - we (the country) have been living in a short-term present driven by the electoral cycle & a lack of vision in our political class.... and its now come round to bite us in the bum.

Only when we start to think strategically (not tactically) about our political economic problems will we be able to engineer better solutions!

Capacity crunch: why the UK doesn’t have the power to solve the housing crisis

Our inadequate electricity network is stopping the building of thousands of new homes. And the necessary move to low-carbon heating and cars is only increasing demand

The UK, and other countries, used to build for future generations. Great big infrastructure projects. Massive government buildings. The #NHS and council houses. Etc

It's not a lack of political vision, it's a deliberate short-term exploitation model of politics that is killing society.

We need to get the money out of politics to remove the grifters and plunderers. We must demand better.

First step, recognise #ToriesUnfitToGovern and demand a #GeneralElectionNow

Agreed - whenever there is a problem that needs addressing, the Tories first thought is ‘how can we personally make a profit from this’.
