Police van with arrestees blocked by student activists and community members supporting the students
State troopers moved in on the folks blocking the arrestees. PPB as backup in formation. I’m so sorry for no alt text it’s crazy rn

After the state troopers formed a line in front people blocking the van the van was able to go another way. Students ran over and somehow caught up with them and blocked them again. At that point the cops went crazy and started rioting. They pushed the group and started hitting with batons and shooting pepper balls. Lots of people got maced. They trampled someone in a wheelchair and hit two people with a police vehicle. I got a tackled, a baton to the back and head, and maced. Students fought back and tried protecting arrestees regardless. Students now walking them back chanting "off our campus"

Will clip footage of the chaos later need to look thru it first before posting and it's really fucking long.

PPB got big mad that people kept cutting down the caution tape so they sent in the troopers. Students were chanting “you’re welcome for the water” because cops stole a case of water from them and they were drinking it.
@alissaazar thank you so much for doing what ya do. Stay safe and be dangerous.
@alissaazar The difference between PPB and PB (Proud Boys) is only ONE letter.
Standoff still going. Students are not backing down
“Oink oink piggy piggy, get out of our city”
piggy tired
State troopers have retreated and the standoff is just with PPB now
Lmao a bunch of the students are wearing the torn down caution tape as headbands
Students are still holding ground in a stand off. It’s been a while now and it’s definitely taking a toll on the cops. The students have been chanting in their faces nonstop. The cops have been cycling people out fairly consistently. At least one PPB cop had to be taken off the front line because somebody made him cry. Haven’t seen this happen since 2020
Cops pushing again. Students chanting “it’s time to escalate”
@alissaazar I think my favorite thing about pigs is that they're so inured to taking orders that consistently yelling "quit your job" at them actually does make a significant percentage of them quit straight up.
@alissaazar @starkraving666 in 2021 protests, saw a cop cry and take a knee, shake hands with a protest organizer. Don’t worry the cop was back literally beating protestors less than 30 minutes later.
@alissaazar It consistently blows my mind how dudes can put on a uniform like that and still be like "we are on the right side of history"
@sidereal @alissaazar
It's that domino meme with the little domino labeled "being taught as a child that police are the good guys" and the biggest domino is "the Nazis were good actually". Going to work as a cop is a couple dominos back...
@alissaazar THIS is what police bring to a peaceful protest.

@alissaazar

These men live in neighborhoods. They generally socialize with their fellow officers for some obvious reasons. They isolate themselves from the rest of us. No more friendly, cheerful, helpful cops. I think they like it that way as it's a lazy man's way to face life. Know your neighbors.

@alissaazar I'm worried in particular about the person in a wheelchair who was trampled. Have they gotten medical attention?
@foolishowl yes they’re still with medics. It was really bad.
