I think it was just:

Homestar Runner and Songify the News

Just weirdos making ridiculous stuff that's slightly janky

It's the first time that this truly good stuff got to be seen by a big audience because the new technology didn't have the gatekeepers yet and for a brief shining moment something good got through

@researchfairy something I kind of just realized. Flash sucked for a lot of reasons but something like h*r built on Flash couldn't be SEO'd to death. It's only hope was to grow organically by people sending links and physically showing eachother stuff. Another part of the internet that doesn't exist because websites don't really exist anymore.
