I am anarchist and I write things to help people stay safe (for some definition of safe) while taking part in social movements. My focuses are on riot medicine and security culture.

Everything I write is free to download, reuse, print, remix, or anything else.

Riot Medicine

Riot Medicine

Riot Medicine is a full length text book covering the practice of evidence-informed street medicine. It's most intended for those without medical training

Riot Medicine Bridge Guide is intended for healthcare workers who want to join social movements and use their medical skills to help others.

There are other shorter guides like the Riot Medicine Field Guide, Basic First Aid for Emergencies, and the micro zine Street Medics' Checklist.

I've also produced a series of guides on security culture and OpSec. Some are more technical. Some are more about the social aspects. They can be useful for stealthy affinity groups or those engaged in more mass-oriented forms of organizing.

@hakan_geijer This all seems generally useful, information that everyone should have on hand. Thank you for your kindness and humanity in making this available.
@hakan_geijer riot medicine is a truly amazing book, and something I aspire to meet in level of competence at some point.
@hakan_geijer thank you! when BLM and related protests were at their peak in in PDX, one of the most effective ways for distant supporters to assist was (at least for awhile) to fund or directly purchase and deliver street first aid/medical kits and other personal safety gear (e.g. gas masks). Do you think that was a matter of circumstance (the amount of time the protests went on) or could this be applicable now? May I ask your thoughts on that approach in general? It seemed helpful at the time.

@hakan_geijer it took me a minute to find it on the site, so heres the direct link to get the Mobile Phone Security pdf:

@hakan_geijer we need a manual of this kind here in Lethbridge, Alberta, for the kinds of First Aid that one must do on the street for people who typically suffer drug poisoning & wounds that need cleaning & bandages.
