Interesting - do you have a feeling for why they have dropped out of favour?

I know I've been finding my reread of the Maigret series patchy going - some of them are brilliant / some of them decidedly dodgy when read with current sensibilities, but overall the good is still outweighing the bad ... just :)

@kcfromaustcrime @bookstodon in the 70s there were many women who wrote sci fi eg Joanne Russ, later Barbara Hambly. These books are difficult to find now so tend to be forgotten.
