@capntransit retractable bollards could work. Let @gershkuntzman and everyone else write the tickets for obstructed plates while they're parked, picture, app, ticket's in the mail.

@enobacon @capntransit @gershkuntzman as we see in places like NYC, police are some of the worst offenders of this law. They can’t be the ones tasked with enforcement as well.

@db @enobacon In the short term, yes. In the long term, we need to figure something out.

Corruption in law enforcement has been a known problem since ancient times. I don't think anyone's come up with a perfect solution, but plenty of governments do better than New York...
