Dec TenorIt's the May bank holiday weekend this week, and it's the Cork International Choral Festival. I'll not be there this year, but I've been a few times in the past, both as a competitor and as an audience member. It's an amazing event to get your Choral Nerd on amongst other choral music fans, and I kind of wish I was going!

I'd like to but when I saw even B&Bs are charging €150/night I backed away. Must book earlier next year.
FWIW the Latvian radio choir (Cork gala concert Thurs) is giving a free concert in the Hugh Lane Gallery next Sunday at noon. Tickets gone after a few minutes so I emailed the organisers and they put a few more on Eventbrite.
@PatrickOBeirne Yeah it's not cheap to stay in Cork. Last year it was brutal as Ed Sheeran was also performing concerts in Cork that weekend, and there was a Munster rugby match.
