Dec TenorIt's the May bank holiday weekend this week, and it's the Cork International Choral Festival. I'll not be there this year, but I've been a few times in the past, both as a competitor and as an audience member. It's an amazing event to get your Choral Nerd on amongst other choral music fans, and I kind of wish I was going!

Elizabeth HilliardAt the very last minute I was able to go to the Mornington Singers concert last night in Trinity. It was amazing. Absolutely stunning singing. It was great to hear Emma O’Hallorans piece and I particularly enjoyed the Egidija Medeksaite Nunc Dimittis- it was fascinating to hear the treatment for choral texture like fabric. The choir really showed their skills in the Elgar and Fanny Hensel- defintely one of the greatest choirs in the country. #LoveChoral #NewMusic #ContemporaryMusic
