@peterjelinek I'm not saying that we shouldn't restrict oil and gas (in particular to avoid lock-in effects), but reducing supply alone would lead to terrible social conflict.
It is vital to reduce demand first and foremost, and not to delay society's actions by pointing the finger at scapegoats.
