@tellington Rowling is on my mental list as well. I don't think it's unfortunate. We all read them because we didn't know who she really was.
My 11yo is currently working her way through the series (I'm buying only used copies), and I plan to use them to illustrate to her how all of our favorites are problematic and that she has to make a choice whether or not to separate the artist from the art.
