My criteria are: 1) I like a good narrative, 2) I suck at speed reactions/hand-eye coordination challenges, 3) I like puzzle-solving, and 4) I'd prefer something that's not a giant undertaking lasting dozens of hours. Chants of Sennaar is a good example size-wise, though more robust narrative would be ideal.
Evil Roda@swan_tower I know a couple people have recommended The Talos Prince, and I wholeheartedly endorse that recommendation, as well as its sequel. However, you should also know one of the writers, Jonas Kyratzes, has been making games since 2000 or so. Highly recommend his Lands of Dream series, in particular, The Sea Will Claim Everything is a masterpiece. Most of his stuff before TP is point and click adventure, but not all. Enjoy!
