Question: I thought when someone is indicted, that makes them a defendant.
If so, what is the distinguishing feature here between indictee and defendant.

Y’know I think of all the doomsayers I used to see on Twitter (never you, of course) bemoaning that trump&co will never be held to account — yet here we are with no less than EIGHT jurisdictions bringing it with some form of accountability! (I think I counted right, including distinguishing between state & federal, criminal & civil.)
As we’ve all seen, it’s a thankless arduous task to bring to justice a person with the resources trump has access to. Not all of the efforts will succeed, and the current sCOTUS has decided to play for team trump, but the process of trump&co accountability is definitely in motion,naysayers be damned!
