@slesa Thanks for asking about this, btw. A coworker passed your question on to me, and you were right - GitLab was midway through making changes to the merge feature, and the docs were changing too.

(I'll be really glad when the feature flag is finally gone, and this changeover is done. Another month, maybe?)
