“Civil War” left me rattled for days.

There’s a lot that Alex Garland leaves out of the film. And I think that’s ultimately what made it so effective.

And the bluntness is the point.

@davekarpf I always take your opinion seriously; on the other hand I've grown increasingly skeptical of the value of blunt rhetorical objects. IME they tend to speak to different audiences with exactly the words each audience most strongly wants to hear.
