Trying to persuade the last of the butter to brown. #kulich
And it did!
That penultimate stage (fruit still to come) is hard work. Did the last bit of kneading with my hands. It feels completely right now. #kulich

Fruit! #kulich
They're pretty! #kulich
Yay! Back right is the prettiest and will probably go in the procession. (Camera thought front right had a face, and I can sort of see that) They're not very high because it's half a recipe, which technically only makes four, but i wanted the two small ones.

@irina following your recipe progress is tempting me to try and make it next year.

And I learned from your pascha recipe why your candle has XB, rather than XP like our Paschal candle, on it!

@quidcumque We also write it on the eggs. Sometimes an egg-decorator is contrary and writes XA (that's Greek for XB, the reason why left as an exercise for the reader) but that usually gets confused stares.
@irina I do know why it's XA in Greek! I only remember red eggs from Greece (I have distant Greek relatives and we sometimes visited around Easter when I was a kid) though.
