Yesterday, I asked my students what their idea of perfect happiness was. Today, I found mine: sitting down in the car park of a big box lumber store with cut wood, screws, glue to make a picture frame and the largest stretched canvas I’ve ever bought; plus the prospect of weeks of painting and a night on the town tonight. Whether what I do with all this is any good, it matters not. It’s the prospect that warms the heart. https://open.substack.com/pub/artbypatricksherriff/p/incumbents
