You'll see me complain about protestors, but I hope that you can appreciate that is coming from someone who has successfully supported protest movements that have worked to help bring about positive changes.
For example, do you agree that my idea to help start a youth climate movement was successful?
Anyways, that helped to bring about this iconic meeting five years ago today.
I criticize protests that I think do not help the cause they purport to support.

As a single State it failed to have a functional economy and a #laicist state of "#Israel and Palestine" seems more distant than even after #O7 gave #Netanyahu all the excuses he needed to do what he does now...
(Doesn't mean it's justified - but lets be honest the reaction is neither surprising nor unexpected at all)
Either way, I doubt the current protests of #XR and their affiliates are good beyond criminalizing activism...

Yeah, I shouldn't have brought Palestinian protests into this discussion and focused on climate protesting that has taken a wrong tact in my opinion, but this #GenocideJoe crowd is getting so much attention now.
We had one of the new climate protesting groups here that held one of their semi-violent disruption events yesterday that I found out about because one of the fairly conservative lawyers I follow for legal news posted about how disgusting they are.
That's bad for the cause.
The economy of a Palestinian State was never properly tested. In the Gaza Strip it was under Hamas and under a blockade, both of which serve to harm the economy. In the West Bank, it is not really independent.

Still, if #Hamas weren't #islamofacist|s ( duh !) they could've turned #Gaza into at least a location for tourists to flock to that just want to get fried by the sun.
But even the most ethics-ignorant [Western] European #tourist doesn't tolerate an open & armed conflict in their holiday destination, and that kinda sours it even if one were to offer the week all-inclusive with flights for like €199 per person mid-season in the summer...
But yeah that kinda died with the coup of Hamas and the destruction of Gaza Yasser Arafat #Airport...
