It was also the day we officially left the commonwealth.

@masukomi @Miriamm Probably not in my lifetime now, sadly. Last referendum was our best chance, now even post-Brexit there doesn't seem to be enough appetite for it.

@Miriamm And now we wait for Ireland the republic to actually cover all of Ireland the island. The North has had almost a century to cool down, and Brexit might well be the catalyst for reunification

@bodhipaksa Can't see it happening in my lifetime now, sadly. Even with the worst Westminster encumbents in living memory, there doesn't appear to be a convincing majority in favour.
