Just finished The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride for #bookclub - LOVED the characters! If you read it tell me who your favorite was.

The story was engaging and poignant: one of those "you don't know it's a mystery until 2/3 of the way through the book" kind of stories. [CW for the book itself: sexual abuse; it is brief and highly relevant to the plot.]
