Someone please correct me if I get this wrong

Israel bombs the west Bank for decades. The PLO are terrorists, agree with us or you are antisemitic

Israel bombs Gaza for decades. Hamas are terrorists, agree with us or you are antisemitic. Hamas retaliate again but Hamas are terrorists and all Palestinians are Hamas oh, we will kill thousands in Gaza too and you can't do anything

Israel bomb the Iranian embassy, Iran retaliate but it's Iran fault

Something is very wrong here

@RosePuckey Think you have a very good grip on what going on. I wonder how many ordinary folk coming to same conclusion.

@RosePuckey i want to remind you
That they want Palestinians (natives) to give their land for a problem they didn't do (holocaust) basically palestinians paying for europe problem
Also they can't even put palestinian people in israel like its their land and you want to throw them in egypt
Like just like how you want palestinians to give you their country give palestinians some of Israel instead of bombing them

Israel is a colonisation and the west can stay delusional

@beh_72 Don't need to remind me, the western governments need to get to the opticians and see clearly what is happening. Maybe they need to stop thinking of the money they will not make if all war stopped and instead work with the humans who are suffering because of it. I keep saying, #AllWeNeedIsLove, and I get all sorts of what iff comments to it but it's what scares the leaders most. Hate only divides us.

@RosePuckey generally speaking, the simplistic view the media sticks to is “good and evil” the US/western Europe and their allies are good, anyone opposing them is evil, Israel is a US ally, if they do anything bad, no, it was actually done for good reason

The houthis are bad, if they do something for a good reason (like opposing genocide) then they actually did it for bad reasons.

If Iran does something justified by international law, it’s bad because they’re evil therefore they did it for bad reasons.

If the US (the ultimate force for good and freedom in the world) does something horrid like their warcrimes and massacres in Vietnam then that’s justified because they did it for good reasons (freedom democracy etc) (though this filter tends to go away somewhat in liberal circles after decades pass and it becomes historical and not a current issue)

@Clover Absolutely. It's all about money, if you support the side with the bigger war budget, someone somewhere makes more money from it. This, globally, has to stop.
@RosePuckey That's pretty much my understanding. Israel has a kind of "sacred cow" status with the West - everything is justifiable, they can do no wrong. Israel, for its part, plays the innocent victim. They're always " just defending themselves".
@RosePuckey you are writing at choosing an artificial starting point for the conflict and emphasizing some facts more than others. I could make a disingenuous recount of what happened slanted the other way easily enough. But it wouldn't be constructive. As a matter of fact, both Gaza and Israel have far right government more interested in inflicting harm to the other side than in setting up a lasting peace. But it doesn't have to stay that way forever. What we need is more people pushing for an
@RosePuckey actual, specific peace plan, and less people grandstanding about how much they are *on the good side* and how the *other side* are just evil. Try stopping the fight instead of whipping the participants into a frenzy ffs.
@RosePuckey Set up concrete, specific goals like "We need to stop illegal Israeli settlements and get both Israeli and Palestinians to accept the idea that a two state solution with "x" borders" is helpful and good. Just going on about how one side is the source of all evil isn't. Unless your favoured solution is complete ethnic cleansing of either the Israelis or Palestinians, in which case okay making them the source of all evils work I guess.
