/9 In this round, the OBC #CollectiveDevelopmentFund will fund up to five projects, for budgets of between £7,500 and £15,000. Applications are open until May 31, and we are offering an optional scope check for outline ideas until May 10.
/9 This fund is to support work towards the publication of #OABooks; the creation and support of infrastructures for their distribution, cataloguing and preservation; building and sustaining networks and advocacy for the support of OA scholarly books and infrastructure; and other projects building capacity for OA book publishing
/9 Part of the aim of the Fund is to build capacity and bibliodiversity in #OpenAccess book publishing. We particularly encourage applications from small and medium publishers/infrastructure providers. We also are keen to fund projects working beyond the Global North and/or working to support non-Anglophone publishing.
/9 Designing this call has been a collaborative process with our stakeholder communities. We are particularly grateful to @sparc Europe for their input into the design of the call and @investinopen for sharing their experience as well as a range of relevant resources
/9 We would also like to thank participants at our scoping workshops, including African Minds; Digital Preservation Coalition, Directory of Open Access Books, OAPENBooks, Knowledge Futures, meson press, @langscipress, OA Books Network
/9 As well as OpenEdition, OPERAS, Opening the Future, @OpenBookPublish , Public Knowledge Project, punctum books, University of Cape Town Press, University of London Press, University of Westminster Press, White Horse Press, along with the respondents of our survey.
