As I read about yet another consumer product from China that has lead in it, I wondered if anybody’s been checking our metal water bottles. I have about a dozen and every single one of them is made in China.

@crazybutable Uh this article is 8 years old and focused on kids bottles and sippy cups, but hopefully every single bottle is now put through rigorous testing.

@MelodyCooper my apologies, this is the correct site but not the correct article with the adult drink tumblers. I got mixed up. I looked for it and I can’t find it!

But if you have a concern on a specific brand or model of tumbler, you can search for a brand name and the individual articles for each type of water bottle will come up.

I don’t know what federal agency is responsible for testing but this is a person who is doing independent third party lead tests. Focused on kids stuff but she hits adult products too. Also sometimes Consumer Reports has some roundup testing on drink tumblers
