I'm going to Seattle in early June to visit my sister and thinking of driving up and doing 2 nights in Vancouver. I've wanted to do that for a long time.

Trying to decide if the added expense is worth it, for a pretty short visit.

Going to the library today to get some guidebooks.

Any suggestions from the fediverse on what part of #YVR to stay in? Things to do/not do? I tend to NOT like tourist-y stuff but more off-beat stuff. ty!

@constantorbit - walk the seawall, especially around Stanley Park. Touristy, but good. Drink coffee. Lots of good coffee. Go to the main branch of our library - awesome looking, awesome resources. Rent a bike and go up and down the Arbutus Asphaltway.

β˜πŸΌπŸ“š Visiting the big #Vancouver #library will let you spot it in sci fi movies ever after. And it’s surrounded by lunch places

In the other direction, but on the flat by bike 🚲 is #CasaGelato with the most ice cream varieties in the world β€” 238 flavours in the shop every day

@AccordionBruce @constantorbit #casagelato is on the Adanac bikeway - also a great ride (and Canada spelled backward).

I never noticed that. Most recently riding home on it yesterday πŸ€”
