A new world is rising 🌅
@RebelGeek99 if capitalism would rule, the world would be a better place! No one would burn oil to make electricity if one can generate electricity with zero fuel purchase and minimal maintenance (PV and Wind).
Capitalism is a means to regulate production. Capitalism requires a political system that guarantees no monopolies, no oligarchies and no multibillionaires, or it does not work. It’s our combination of capitalism with a obscene Darwinism that makes it bad.

@vgoller @RebelGeek99

By allowing wealth and power to become focused into the hands of a few, capitalism will always be the kind of capitalism we have now. It's not "if capitalism would rule." Capitalism does rule and this is the result.

But, just like feudalism, capitalism has grown, developed, and will pass away as something new takes its place. The question is whether we devolve into techno-feudalism or evolve into something better.

"Ironically pure Capitalism fails for the same reason as pure Socialism.

They both depend upon the better angels of human nature, which often do not appear.

Capitalism depends upon the rich being fair and just even if they don't have to, and Socialism depends upon people working even if they don't have to.

Neither is realistic, or in concert with human nature. The only answer is a combination of both, where market forces are allowed to thrive so long as they're fair and just to the working and poor."

@RebelGeek99 my issue with the anti-capitalist rhetoric is that what we have now really isn’t capitalism. It’s some horrifically distorted puppet of capitalism with billionaire Barrons with their hand up its bum.

Actual capitalism could work really rather well. But I don’t think we’ll ever get a chance to find out as its name is irrevocably tarnished.

And “neo-capitalism” sounds.. awful.. 😆
