Star Trek: Lower Decks Will End With Its Fifth, Final Season

As disappointing as it is to see it end, 5 seasons is a decent run, and I’d rather it end before they “jump the shark” or just fizzle out.
Agreed, even as a huge fan of LD I could personally sense it being more difficult to write more stories for our lowly stalwarts of Starfleet in season 4. Better to be able to end still chanting “Lower Decks! Lower Decks! Lower Decks!”
Lower Decks is the kind of show that needs to cut to black for the last time right as cool Boimler on water skis is approaching a shark.
I enthusiastically disagree. Lower Decks needs to boldly go and jump the shark more than traveling back in time to save a whale or talking to an old microwave that became a god.
In fairness, they were trvializing time paradoxes from the get. There are at least two in TOS S1.
I don’t know. We only got like 10 x 25 minutes episodes per season. That’s not a lot of conten.
