Yes. Yes, problem located, problem in the process of being fixed.
This was caused by writing the first draft while thinking "I guess people would prefer it if—" SCREW IT. I don't prefer it, so I won't keep it. 
Now I'm rewriting half the chapter until I like it.
Chapter 18 has been rewritten and edited it's doooone
10,7k words now instead of 6k
but it's so much better now

but yeah, WY apologizing too much is a topic in the next chapters 
@SophiaHoppia I'm not saying it's inappropriate in every situation but him saying it as a reflex is definitely a theme he needs to address. why is he feeling sorry for eating? for breathing? for taking up space? for living?! someone needs to say it: he's depressed.
