I helped an older lady reverse her manual car out of an inclined parking lot. But I almost made a mistake.

At first, she tried reversing but it kept going down until it was just inches away from the wall. There was no more room for error. She then came up with an idea to place a rock in front of each front tire to stop the car from going further down.

Then I took over and tried to reverse her car. But the reverse gear wouldn't work! It was moving forward! 😱 (1/2)

Apparently, her car's reverse gear was located differently from what I knew. I thought they were all the same. Really, really thankful that she used those rocks as stoppers or else I would have definitely hit the wall. 🤦‍♂️

After she taught me where the reverse gear was, I was finally able to get her car out of the inclined parking lot. Whew!
