@WeAreFairphone The companion app seems to be planned to go FOSS in the future, I hope it'll be free of proprietary dependencies, time will tell. Given the /e/OS partnership it likely won't need Google Play services to run. Waiting excitedly for the code :)

(Message edited as I've been told there is a plan to open the code: https://mastodon.social/@agnes007/110372800239426756)

@SylvieLorxu Agreed on that these apps should be made available outside the Play Store. From some weeks of testing, I can confirm that the Fairbuds app for (then only) the Fairbuds XL worked on /e/OS – but the MyFairphone app only to a limited extent (no device infos available unless it runs on Fairphone OS). /u

EDIT/correction: The Fairbuds app was available independently of the presence of Fairbuds XL nor Fairbuds, didn't need to get it extracted by someone else then.

@WeAreFairphone @SylvieLorxu I'm pretty sure I've read from @agnes007 it's planned to be released (I'm not sure, to be confirmed by her)
@lutindiscret @WeAreFairphone @agnes007 Oh that's great! Got a link or so?
