I know most of you mightnʼt agree, but Iʼm glad to be back on standard time.
@jackyan I don't really care which time we end up in, I just want the constant changeover to stop
@seawall I definitely prefer this one … if people in the summer want an extra hour in their day, then wake up an hour earlier!
@jackyan @seawall nah, I bike to things in the evening and prefer doing so when it's not dark outside!
@va2lam @seawall Fair enough, it definitely seems to be better for people doing more outdoors stuff than me in the evenings.

@jackyan
Constantly waking well before dawn, it is bad enough having full daylight after 5am in mid-summer. I wouldn’t survive if that was an hour earlier 🥺

@seawall

@seawall @jackyan SAME.

Why do I have to have insomnia and jetlag twice a year so people can bbq

@jackyan I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t agree. I hate this messing with my internal clock. Just let a girl sleep. Sheesh!
@heyrochelle @jackyan I don't agree ... I want the clocks to stay on daylight saving year round so I get the maximum possible sunlight in the evenings after work.
@sarahhbickerton @heyrochelle Fair enough! Plus you are more active than me.
@jackyan @heyrochelle Yeah, aside for a small window (ie now) it’s never light for me in the morning during the colder months, so I don’t mind it being dark. I’d just like long light evenings (or as long as possible) year round.
@heyrochelle Exactly! No other creatures in nature observe it and neither does my body!
@jackyan right? I reckon it’s all a “productivity” scam by employers 😄
@heyrochelle In cases where nothing makes sense, follow the money. This is definitely one of those cases.
@jackyan I'm going to swim against the tide on this and say I like both 😜 In summer I like the nights being longer and in winter I like it lighter in the morning. I accept the getting used to the change every six months #DontAtMe
@lisafox Fair enough! 🙂 I used to, but kind of shifted probably around the mid-2000s. I think I really began noticing my body rhythms.
