If you spend a lot of time in #UNIX terminals - check their latency - as this *may* limit your efficiency and *may* make Your work harder then needed.

There are many ways to add tabs to Alacritty.

1. Use window manager tabs that for example Fluxbox features.

2. Use GNU screen(1).

3. Use BSD tmux(1).

4. Use Zellij.

There are probably other options as well.

tmux is great! I've been using Xterm with Tmux for years now. Since Xterm is like something comes with every*nix system I don't even have to install another terminal emulator at all and I get universal experience.
