@rbreich Is Trump broke? He couldn't post a cash bond of $450M, or even $175M. He couldn't even post the $175M through a real bonding company licensed to operate in NY. All he did is get a California buddy to basically write a letter saying that Trump promised to pay his buddy a bonding fee sometime if the appeal was lost, and the buddy promised to pay NY, honest, cross my heart.
But Trump didn't put out a penny. Nobody did. So, yeah, he's broke. The whole deal here is that most of his properties are underwater, and if James starts collecting, the whole thing crumbles.
