I'm back on Fascebook, just to have a place to contact and be contacted by old friends. I may occasionally share some Mastodon or BlueSky posts over there, but Mastodon and BlueSky will continue to be my primary socials going forward.

I'm Richard Supremo -- Rick "Burrito" Supreme, keyboardist for the band Dummyhead over there.

The economic fairy story of trickle-down economics

Trickle-down economics is a stupid economic fairy story because wealth doesn't trickle down from the rich to the poor and ordinary, it's siphoned upwards from the poor and ordinary to the rich.

I've been working on a Dummyhead cover of "Hotel California". I have become painfully aware of the fact that I am very, very rusty. I'm recording at 70 bpm, and the bass line is completely kicking my ass.
Jus' sayin'

The '71/'72 Buick Riviera is one of maybe 5 "American cars" that, if I had hundreds of millions of dollars, I would keep and maintain and be proud of owning. The example in the article below is a twenty-footer. It's got some blistered rust on an otherwise nicely done finish, and I like the understated rim/tire/hubcap business.

This sharp-looking classic Buick hides a monster V8 and some smart upgrades but still sold surprisingly cheap
