This news is disheartening. Denmark is lucky to have the coexistence advocate Özlem Cekic, who has dedicated her life to bringing people together through dialogue.
Every year she hosts a multi-cultural Ramadan dinner event, where she invites people who are normally in opposition to one another to share a meal.
This year, she brought Danish jews and muslims together at an event where both Imam Naveed Baig and Rabby Jair Melchior were invited as speakers.

… hate mail with accusations of her being Israel’s helper and some calling her “Hitler”. According to Özlem, the accusations come from her fellow Danish muslims.
I agree, Muslims have infinite reasons to be upset about the events in Gaza. But I believe, some may have overlooked, how many Danish jews are in opposition to Israeli president Benjamin Netanyahu.
If we want peace, moderates must speak with moderates. The extremists will never talk, so only moderates have a chance of dialogue.
