“I’m used to dealing with public bodies & long-drawn-out processes, but with the RSA, I’m actively angry. To say the only explanation you’ll offer is GDPR when people are suffering life-altering injuries and dying is an insult to people.” - Cllr Janet Horner

Call for Submissions: Review of Road Safety Authority

@clickhere I think one of the main issues, which is mentioned there on the consultation page is that the #RSA relies on car owners and car users for it's income; it's a huge conflict of interest, given that car users are the biggest threat to road safety

@ColmDonoghue It also has partnerships with motor industry brands (e.g. Toyota), throws public monies into massive sunk costs (e.g. multi-million euro contracts with Portwest for hi-viz vests), and has very little in the way of evidence-based activity.

There's very little right with the RSA, tbh.

@clickhere I just went on to the site and apparently the government doesn't think that today is included. So when it says "closes 5th April", they mean at 00:00 on 5th.

They would literally do anything to avoid the public having a say in how the country is run.

@Des_egan Ugh, f's saaaaake! Completely typical, though.
