#WordWeavers Day 1 - MC POV: Write a Mastodon introduction post.

"Here I am! I'm doing the thing. Veda made me. Though, I'll probably be too busy saving the multiverse to toot much."

(Catching up) #WordWeavers Day 2 - What books/resources have you used to improve your writing? Which ones do you recommend?

Honestly...every story I've ever read or watched. I like to reread and rewatch things, too, to analyze plots, world-building, tropes, and character development. I recommend finding what works best for you and sticking to it.

#WordWeavers Day 3 - Antagonist POV: How do you feel about animals?

"They're delicious? I don't know. I have more important things to think about. Get out of my sight before I turn you into fish and let you suffocate on my throne room floor."

#WordWeavers Day 4 - Is there writing advice you used to follow but changed your mind?

"Write every day," and, "You should only focus on one project at a time."

To both of those, I say...NO. I am more than just a writer, and I need days off. Also, if I force myself to only focus on one project...I end up not writing anything at all when I get stuck on a part. Now, I just switch to something else until the inspo comes back.

@cyborg_writer I know this feeling from every creative endeavor. I dumped 100 of hours into Camp building in Fallout 76 just to create a certain look. Same is true for Fallout 4 and I don't count anymore for Painting stuff I only do it if friends want me to paint there stuff so I know what time my work takes...

In my expirience it helps to focus on another project of any kind to come to a solution or a palette cleansing.

@AnnaSaultron Absolutely! I do the same with my other interests. I cycle through several games, books, and languages I'm learning. Sometimes I go through phases where I write, compose, and record a whole album in less than a month. Sometimes it takes a year of occassional releases. Lol.
