@pixelnull time to put your apple hate away, they make outstanding hardware and software.. and its fucking not Microsoft. WebKit is an outstanding bit of kit i used it with KDE before moving to osX
while i don't hate on apple anymore, there's still tons of reasons to not like apple hardware and software.
price, hardware lock down,
repair lock down, walled gardens everywhere, etc etc (i'm sure you know all the arguments, not looking to argue v0v)

@pixelnull we can agree to disagree, as far as teh walked gardens for iOS i agree, my mom is safer as a result. Thier hardware is well worth the price, and it’s cheaper than a PC in the long run due to its reiablity!! ROI on a MAC is 10 years, vs 2 years on a PC at the same price point, FYI

@pixelnull will also add, regarding USB-C on iOS devices, I really couldn't care less since I sync everything via the cloud. I haven't used a lighting point in YEARS! AFAIK, Apple should remove all ports on their iPhones, as I use Bluetooth and inductive charging. Thinking back I think its been almost a decade since I had a need for a physical port on a iPhone
i'm gonna nope out... i need my mf cords. all my stuff is corded. if i could have a decent phone with a good internal DAC and a headphone jack i would. i miss my lg g8 thinq for that. now i use an external DAC and an inline headphone amp.

Numberz@pixelnull Did that awhile ago and set up the custom browsing profile using Arkenfox. Then I got uBlock and had it setup to close JS by default and lastly I got an extension that randomizes my user agent.
I'll tell you what, if you ever want to see Google have a panic attack, randomize your user agent to change every few minutes while logged into gmail. I'm talking fully forced logout with a full security check of credentials on the way back in 😆

@pixelnull Thankfully from my observations, a lot of the people I follow on Fedi built old school sites 90's style. It's so refreshing to go to a site and not have to disable a single setting to read it properly. I encourage more of this behavior.
