@bdatlrides Marta does not fall under GDOT. To my knowledge, no mass transit authority falls under a state transportation agency. They are independent. If you want more mass transit, lobby your local representatives about raising money (taxes) and earmarking it for Marta.

@rickysmith You are correct. Also, GDOT has inherently access to more funding and therefore should pitch in on more transit projects.

@bdatlrides .. I disagree. GDOT has no business in mass transit. Outside of specific projects that they already work with MARTA on, they don't have funding available for mass transit.

@rickysmith Ironically, GDOT has their logo in the ATL RIDES app... I think their contribution was to help set up a transit data for one of the small operators. That opens possibilities.
