Swiss bank sends the e-banking activation code to the wrong address. We try to call them to correct. No number available. Website sends you in circles. With Archive.org we can dig it up. The number replies with a AI robot. Robot can't answer my question so I get sent in a never ending loop of please wait, where a voice that tells me every two Minutes to press 1 so I can arrange an appointment with an external partner some time in the future. After 15 Minutes: "Your call takes too long—good bye."
@reichenstein I have never heard of this happening to anyone in Switzerland, what kind of "bank" is this supposed to be?
@Leomas It's one of the ten biggest. I don't intend to shame them specifically as it's part of a misguided general pattern to save cost. Hide number, talk to robot, let people wait, book appointment with an external vendor in the future...
@reichenstein Sure, I'm not disagreeing, and this will happen more, I was just surprised because we do like bitching about our banks and I've never heard anyone having that issue
