GlyphIt seems silly but mastodon’s retreat from the language of “toots” and now even “boosts” ( they’re “reblogs” in the official app now ) is exactly the same dumb-as-rocks discarding of a recognizable brand that Xitter is doing

Toots can live on as community terminology. If enough people take up its use, maybe it can even rise to prominence.
But on the other hand, Reblog ... already belongs to a different community. And should be left alone.
IMHO.
