russian "right protection" initiative Parental Chamber made a report on the legislative action plan aimed at protecting children and youth from destructive phenomena in the digital environment, calling furries an integral part of LGBTQIA+ "movement" and calling for a ban of all furry content and furry community in russia.

FUR/HELP is worried about the report, and monitors the situation closely to ensure that russian furries, that don't support war, are part of LGBTQIA and don't share imperialistic views nor claims of russian government, are safe and able to escape persecution that might be possible if this goes through with the government.

Any furry that would try to comply with these ridicule rules in hopes of them not touching you, should understand how russian politics work. They would touch you. We will not help furries helping a nazi regime silence and persecute LGBTQIA people. People like that have no place in the furry community.

@YukiDeer @mynameistillian As a Russian furry, with everything like this that happens I'm glad I don't use Russian social media (thus am safe). It has more zombies than the average indie game from the 2010s anyways.

I do feel bad for those few of us here who e.g own fursuits and so on, though I don't plan on ever doing so.

@YukiDeer Nope I don't feel I'm in any real danger whatsoever. I don't engage in resistance etc, I just want to finish my education and then I'm leaving.

It's not like "furry" or "bi" or "democratic socialist" is written on my forehead. They don't know, and they don't have the resources to dig at everyone.

@YukiDeer Trust me if I even was on their radar I'd be in jail years ago already for the shit I say in some places (fantasies about doing unspeakable things to Putin mostly). 🤣 This government is a fash dictatorship but it isn't North Korea or even China levels of social control. It simply lacks the competence to pull off that kind of surveillance penetration.

Anyone who publicly protests is fucked, I agree. But I'm not.
